Secondary roads and low bridges near the creek are also flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 2:15 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 20.2 feet. - Bankfull stage is 11.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 215 PM CDT Thu Jun 18 2026 was 21.5 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to receding and currently around 20.2 feet, just above moderate/minor flood stage. ...EXTREME HEAT WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM CDT THIS EVENING... ...HEAT ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM TO 8 PM CDT FRIDAY... * WHAT...For the Extreme Heat Warning, dangerously hot conditions with heat index values up to 119. For the Heat Advisory, heat index values up to 113 expected. * WHERE...Bee, Coastal Aransas, Coastal Calhoun, Coastal Kleberg, Coastal Nueces, Coastal Refugio, Coastal San Patricio, Duval, Goliad, Inland Calhoun, Inland Kleberg, Inland Nueces, Inland Refugio, Inland San Patricio, Jim Wells, La Salle, Live Oak, McMullen, Victoria, and Webb Counties. * WHEN...For the Extreme Heat Warning, until 8 PM CDT this evening. For the Heat Advisory, from 11 AM to 8 PM CDT Friday. * IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events. Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments.
